Step 1

Step 2

Check the softness of the heated pipe after a minute by nudging the tip against the floor. If it bends when touching the floor, the PVC pipe should be soft enough for expansion.

Step 3

Put the taped pipe into the softened opening. Turn the softened pipe slightly to allow easy penetration. Push the inserted pipe to at least four inches deep. Align the two pipes properly and pour water to cool it.
